Alyssa Morgan is a freshman public health major attending the University of South Carolina. After obtaining her degree, she plans to pursue a speech pathologist career. Alyssa chose South Carolina for the opportunities in every aspect of the college experience, the enthusiasm for the sports teams and how close it was to her home Bluffton.
Alyssa is involved with many great organizations here at the university. She is a part of Rotaract, which is a youth club dedicated to fellowship and service. She is also involved with the Off Off Broadway as an actress and hair and makeup chair on the Creative Visions Team. Off Off Broadway is the university’s only musical theater organization.
Alyssa is also a member of Garnet Circle. Garnet Circle’s duty is to govern the Student Network; UofSC's student alumni association. The Student Network serves to build leadership through Garnet Circle, engage students through dynamic events, and prepare our graduates for their careers.
“I joined Garnet Circle to foster relationships between students of the university and the members of the Alumni Association. I also wanted to be involved in keeping UofSC traditions alive and fostering new ones.”
Alyssa’s favorite part of being a member of Garnet Circle is supporting the football team by wearing the fun and cute beat t-shirts for the games. Alyssa loves her experience not only with the Student Network, but with the university as a whole.
“UofSC is special to me because it’s become my second home. I feel so comfortable here with the campus and the people.”
